Remembering Charlie today after seeing his picture. Your face brought a smile to mine. Remembering the good times in high school. You had a big heart where there was room for everybody.

Dear Charlie,

Your grace and humility during your illness were matched only by your loving kindness to all during your brief lifetime. Thank you for being such a prince of a man and rare human being.

Thank you, also, for being my precious "sidir hanoun" and for the million little things you 've done for me, without question nor being asked.

Charlie, I have been so blessed and grateful to have known you. Further, I am so deeply honored and privileged to have called you brother and best friend.

I will always love you.

Until our kindred spirits meet again,

Ibtesam

p.s. Just to let you know... I've recently become little Amelia's "cookie auntie"!!! xoxoxo. : )

Kindest man ever...so calm, genuine, loving, with radiant energy and always a bright smile. I think of you and realize you're not gone every time I see the sun. Forever in our hearts.
Since you're a celestial angel now,
please watch over auntie Amal. No matter what support and kinds words can do, she feels, more than anyone, the deep loss of you. Rest in peace Umo. You'll always be loved.

My dear cousin, your passing comes way too soon! Like your father before you, your sweet life was too short. I still remember you as a little boy, my friend and sometime playmate. Even though our adult lives separated us by many miles, I always looked forward to seeing you, and I will miss you. May God rest your beautiful soul and bring comfort to your family.

"Mr. Charles" is how I referred to Charles~he commanded my respect with his soft-spoken,genuine concern that he brought to all of our conversations. I will truly miss his good nature and kindness in our Miraloma Park neighborhood.

May Charles' family, friends and loved ones find comfort in the love and goodwill that Charles practiced with humility.

I attended school with Charlie. I always thought of him as having a big heart, always sincere and a very good man.
Several decades later I by chance bumped into him again….he was the same man I remembered and respected.
You made a difference friend.
