Cherylene Lee Obituary

Cherylene "Cheri" Lee Born on August 24, 1963, Cherylene (Cheri) Lee passed away in the prime of her life on February 26, 2008, 8:10AM. Mercifully, she died peacefully in her sleep due to complications resulting from her courageous yet painful three year battle with metastatic breast cancer. After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in finance/accounting, Cheri spent the first part of her career in public accounting where she proudly achieved CPA status. After which she tried her hand in various other fields including real estate appraisal and high tech sales until she found her true passion of being a full time devoted mother to her precious sons, Dylan and Noah. Befriending many other families at the various activities she and the boys were engaged in over the years such as Gymboree, City College Playgroup, Music Together to name a few, led to her involvement with the Sunset Church Mom's group and her renewed faith in Christianity. Her openness to share of herself with everyone, willing to try new things, zest for life, and passion for family and friends will always be remembered. Preceded in death by her late mother, Diana Lee, Cheri will be dearly missed by her loving husband Wayne Louie; sons, Dylan and Noah Louie; father, Frank Lee; and two brothers, Steven and Gerald Lee. She will also be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephew, nieces, and friends. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Wake on Friday, March 7, 2008, 7:00 PM and attend the Funeral Services on Saturday, March 8, 2008, 11:00 AM both at HALSTED N. GRAY-CAREW & ENGLISH, 1123 Sutter St, SF (between Larkin and Polk Streets). Interment will follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in the Hillside Garden (corner of Serramonte Blvd. and Hillside Blvd.) in Colma, CA. In honor of Cheri's memory and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sunset Church, 3638 Lawton Street, San Francisco, CA 94122 or Dylan and Noah Louie Educational Fund, c/o Lillian Fong, 1345 25th Ave., San Francisco, CA 94122. With my heart so full of sadness, I recall many great moments with Cheri. She worked for me at MONITRx in the mid-90s. Her work was without peer, but it was her charm, kindness and empathy for others that really made her standout. I am forever grateful for her support and being part of her story during that period. She certainly was a part of my life and of my company. I will miss her dearly!

I would like to share a poem that I wrote....
" A Life"
Beautiful river journeys
Explodes into a waterfall
Shard of water is born
Falls through its brief life
Reunites with the river
Rejoices in being
In the eternal flow

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to Wayne , Dylan, & Noah.
