Craig Belluomini Obituary

Craig Alan Belluomini June 6, 1954 - August 9, 2008 From San Bruno, was an avid adventurer and lover of the outdoors which he embraced with his loving companion, Marta Lutz. Craig was a surfer, traveler, abalone diver, swimmer, mountain biker and nature lover who lived life to the very fullest. A brilliant electrician and science enthusiast, he lived for his family and found recreation, escape and salvation through his own and his loved ones' adventures in nature and the ocean. Craig's devoted daughters describe their amazing Dad as a miscellaneous MacGyver, fixer of the automobiles, teller of corny jokes, Uno aficionado, hogger of the biscottis, passionate reader, storyteller, fan of the flick "Mother Load", antique dish collector, natural fiber exclusivist, lover of powdered milk, late night cereal snacker, loyal cheerleader, bird whisperer and kid at heart. Craig is forever loved by his daughters: Danielle Belluomini (29) and Jessica Belluomini (23); their mother Debra Belluomini; his dearly loved companion Marta Lutz, and her daughter Audrey Rae; his parents Edward and Donna Belluomini; his sister Rachelle Nichols; his two brothers: Ed Belluomini and Cary Belluomini; a large extended family and many loving friends. Craig, an experienced abalone diver, had just completed a day of diving for abalone with Marta near Stillwater Cove in Sonoma County on Saturday, August 9 and made one last dive for sea urchin. He passed away while diving. Craig's spirit will forever live in his second home, the ocean. The family will have a private service and a public Celebration of Craig's Life will be held in one of his favorite places, Buckeye Park at 2351 Rosewood Drive in San Bruno on Saturday, August 16, at 1pm. Services entrusted to: The Lifemark Center Skylawn Memorial Park 650-349-4411

Wow, I can't believe he is gone. I lived on the same street and grew up with Jess since i was little. Craig was an awesome person, full of life and love. I will miss his smiles and waves driving down the street. The memories I have of him taking Jess and I to the beach and just hangin out at the house will always be with me.
My family and I give our best to you all.

I feel at such a loss for words - Craig was like a dear brother to me. He would come into my office at Skylawn and "lounge" on the chair and we would chat about life, our families (my husband has been in sobriety for 17 years), my life growing up on the watershed, the troubles he go into as a kid, on and on. I only wish I could have met his family and Marta on such a different day - Craig's smile and spirit will forever be a part of all of us. So long for now, my friend

To my Uncle, I will see you in the ocean, hear you in my thoughts and embrace the moments that we shared together. My heart aches at the thought that you are gone and it smiles at the memories that can never be taken away. 2,000 miles away I am with with you in spirit through my father on this day we pay tribute to your life. I will miss your early morning birthday phone calls. I will also continue the tradition. I will look for you in the Water........mb

Growing up as one of younger brother Cary and Marta's good friends in highschool, I can easily say Craig made a big impact on all of our lives. As we were growing up we all admired and looked up to Craig, who as Cary's big brother was just a couple years older than us. He could always make us laugh and also saw the best in everything - he was an adventurist who lived live to the fullest and I know he is looking down on us telling us we should all do the same. He will never be forgotten...

If we could all measure up to his accomplishments, to how he embraced life, to how others cherished Craig the person, wouldn't this be a great world? It's been a long, long time since I've seen him, but his whole family was a positive influence in my young life - for that I am always grateful. My heart goes out to all his family - good people every one. (Marcie)
