Dr Ben-Zeev hired me at the ROC in Walnut Creek in 1980. My first Christmas bonus from his was a Snoopy cup, which made me laugh. A year later, when my father died suddenly in Ireland, he drove me from the ROC in his beat-up old station wagon over to Mount Diablo Hospital where my sister worked so I could tell her in person. We drove back in silence and he gave me one of his bear hugs at the door. This was the measure of the man. I hope this adds to your good memories of him.

I've been meaning to write Dr. Ben-Zeev's family for years to express my heartfelt condolences. I owe a lot to this kind man whose practice I entered when I launched myself out of another oncology practice that I experienced as both negligent and lacking in humanity. How lucky I was to end up in Dr. Ben-Zeev's care. He saved my well-being and perhaps my life with his robust offerings of hope along with state-of-the-art care. Dr. Ben-Zeev died too young and I join his many former patients who think of him often. I can only imagine how much his family misses him.

I was looking up Dr. Ben-zeev after losing touch with him for several years. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his death. Dr. Ben-zeev took great care of my late husband between 2000 and 2002. He was a genuinely kind person who had a big heart. He will be missed.

To the BEN-ZEEV Family.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Ben-Zeev.
Dr Ben-Zeev was one of the kindest doctors one could ever wish for. His pride in his family was evident and, as a patient of his daughter as well, of Devorah so great.

I have thought much of you all since hearing of this and want to let you know you have been in my prayers.

March 24, 2010

To the Ben-Zeev family,
It has been a long time since I have seen you. I have very fond memories of Dan. He was such a great physician to work with for so many years. I am sorry I was unable to come to the house for the special evening, however with so many friends I'm sure you heard lots of wonderful stories.
My thoughts are with you all, Jill Hemingway NP

My wife and I were saddened to hear of Dr. Ben-zeev's passing.
Dr. Ben-zeev cared for my wife when she was very young. Unfortunately, my wife is still quite ill, but I believe that his genius and her stubborness kept her alive. I hope that the medical community knows just how intelligent, a genius, and how stubborn he was.. I truly am sorry.. He will be horribly missed..
