Danny was my good friend. We shared a lot of the same struggles in life. He was always there when I needed someone to talk to. We helped each other stay on the right path. I was shocked and broken hearted when I heard the news of his passing because I had just spoken with him very recently. I think of him daily and will always remember him. We both love bodybuilding. The one time I made it to his gym to workout with him I tore my pectoral muscle doing chest trying to keep up with him. He was so physically strong. I had to have surgery on my muscle to have it pinned back it place. I have a long scar kind of near my heart and overtime I look in the mirror with my shirt off I look at that scar and think of him so I know I will never forget him and he will always be in my heart. He was the friend I went to when I was struggling and now there is a big hole there when I´m struggling and trying to figure out who I´m going to call. He was a great friend and helped me so much.

Just a few months ago I ran into Ellen at Laurel Village in SF. We chatted about our sons, Danny and Aaron (Cera). They were classmates at Town School for Boys K-8. We share so many memories of school field trips, carpools, playdates and amazing family dinners. I received news of Danny's much too early passing with shock and deep sadness. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Ellen and John during this difficult time. Know that we grieve with you.

Danny,
You were the best coach. You got me where I didn´t even know I could get. More importantly we became close friends through the process. You always picked up the phone. I´ll miss you buddy. Rest in beast mode

We remember like it was yesterday - Danny coming over for a playdate at our house. He was the cutest little first grader. Our hearts are broken to hear this tragic news.
