April 11, 1951 - December 24, 2019
Dan Cort, a man of great strength, vision and even greater love passed away on the evening of December 24th, 2019. Born on April 11, 1951, in San Francisco to Phyllis and Robert Cort, Dan attended George Washington High School, where he excelled in pretty much everything he tried, especially swimming, wrestling and exploring San Francisco in depth with his friends, often on his trusty old Ducati motorcycle. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Dear Dear Beth and Zac, Josh and the grandchildren I was pleased to know, Lincoln and Lennox. I was lucky to attend a small City meeting on December 11 with my husband, Pat and my son, Jeff; and renewed acquaintance with Dan who contributed so much to that meeting with his insights, reflections, future plans, and friendly humor. We hope you can take those memories with you in the days and years ahead. We are praying for you all. Best Regards and Sympathies, The Patmon Family by Cheryl Lynn Patmon

I was Dan's tenant in 3 different properties over time: 2 Victorians and on the top two floors of Cort Tower. He was always fair with me and I admired his work and his enthusiasm. I'm 18 years removed to Kansas and living in a small town that is in the process of being re-vitalized and, I think because of Dan's example, I've become a proponent of history preservation here. My home was placed on the National register since I've owned it. My condolences to Beth & his sons and daughter.

I first Dan in 1980, when we both lived on Tuxedo Ave. He came walking up the street with little Jessica (about a year old or so) on his shoulders. He was such a great father and special person. My favorite memory is of him singing with Jessica, playing his guitar the Kermit song, Raibow Connection. He will be missed by my family, and so many others.

I flew for Dan back in the late 90's when he owned an airplane.
Prior to that he chartered my plane.
I'm sure he will be missed by family, friends & business associates!
