David Ferreira Obituary
08/13/1922 - 10/30/2024
A proud Portuguese American and a legend in the East Bay business community, David Ferreira died peacefully on Oct. 30.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Theresa Ferreira; his brother, Edward Ferreira; and his beloved wife of 70 years, Ruth Ferreira.
He is survived by his loving sons, Douglas (Rosalie) and Russell; by his grandsons, Douglas Jr. (Brandy), David II (Lisa), Andrew (Michelle), Adam, and Robert; by his great-grandsons, David III and Joseph, his great-granddaughters, Marina, Madeline Paige and Madelyn.
He is lovingly remembered by his niece, Victoria Sciacca (Paul) and grandnieces
Annie (David) and Tori (Beto).
Friends and family will gather on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. for a Vigil Service and on Friday, Nov. 15 at 1:30 p.m. for a Mass of Christian burial at Church of the Assumption, 1100 Fulton Ave. in San Leandro.
