David Heiman Obituary

David E. Heiman Jul. 12, 1916 - Dec. 19, 2010 David E. Heiman died peacefully, at home with family by his side, December 19, 2010 in Santa Rosa, CA at age 94. A devoted, loving and considerate husband and father he will be missed by many. David was respected and admired by all who had the opportunity to know and work with him. He is survived by his twin sister, Elizabeth, his two sons Jay and Richard, his stepdaughter Cherie, and their families; along with extended family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Elsie. David proudly served with honor in the U.S. Air Force from 1944 to 1976 and retired with the rank of Lt. Col. He served in active combat duty in WWII and Korea flew with the 828th Squadron of the 485th Bomb Group in WWII and received numerous medals. David was an active member of the Santa Rosa, Bodega and Bodega Bay communities. Services will be held on Thursday, December 23rd at 1:30pm in the Home of Peace Cemetery Chapel, 1299 El Camino Real in Colma. Interment to follow at Salem Memorial Park in Colma. The family requests any donations be sent to Sutter VNA & Hospice 1110 N. Dutton Ave. Santa Rosa, CA 95401 Attn: Bereavement Department.
