Dear Rose, Michael and Katie, Tom and Liz, and Kevin, It is hard to believe that young Denis is no longer with us here, but his spirit lives on. As I mentioned in my first message, I can still see him in Grandma's living room in San Francisco, a young gentle exceedingly pleasant young man. We all enjoyed his company and later the company of his bride, Rose. He brought with him the humor and civility of Ireland. He was also a commection to his Uncle Denis who was also a generous kind man, and my loving parents, Tom and Margaret Dunne, all who have gone on ahead of us. I am sure he is looking with pride down on his large family. You are all in my thoughts. Fondly, Marleen (Dunne) Hein.

Dear Rose, Michael, Tommy, and Kevin,
With great sadness I learned of the passing of Denis from my good friend Kay. I remember Denis when he first arrived from Ireland and visited the Flynn family in San Francisco. We called him "Young Denis" to distinguish him from his Uncle Denis, married to my grandmother. He was even as a young man a quiet gentle thoughtful person and a great favorite of our whole family. He was so proud to introduce his bride Rose to us when they returned from Ireland. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers, knowing what a loss he is.
Fondly,
Marleen Hein (Dunne), Margaret's daughter.

Denis was one of life's true gentlmen, He saw the person, not the appearance, perception or bias, and he enjoyed the interaction.People were accepted based on how they behaved.
He has left lasting memories of the best of human nature. This is reinforced through the family he has left behind.
Deepest sympathies to Rose,Michael, Tommy and Kevin and their families. The world was a better place because of Denis. Let us cherish these memories and wish him joy on his future journey.

Dear Rose and Family,
This is truly sad news for all of us. Denis was and will always be loved by those of us who had the honor of calling him a friend. I know your loss is heavy but hopefully the prayers sent your way will help ease some of the pain. God is good and faith is a gift for you to rely on to get you through the next few days, weeks and indeed months. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you and our dear friend, Denis.
