Dennis Murphy Obituary
09/03/1953 - 12/04/2024
Dennis Andrew Murphy, a devoted and loving husband and father, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 4, 2024. Born on September 3, 1953 in San Francisco, Dennis was the beloved son of the late Kathleen and John Murphy. He attended Holy Name Grammar School, Sacred Heart High School, and the University of San Francisco. He also proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Dennis was deeply proud of his children's accomplishments, his successful career in banking, and his ventures in real estate investments. In retirement, he cherished spending time golfing with his childhood friends.
Dennis is predeceased by his sister, Kathy Borst. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly forty years, Mary-Jo; his three children, Diana, Emily, and Jonathan; his in-laws, Diane and Louis Pitto; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Toni and Brenden Dobel; and his nephew, Jack. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Jim Spaelti; and his best friend, his son's loyal dog, Charlie, who was always by his side. Dennis will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A private service was held with family. The family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Dennis and my husband were friends through high school and served in the army together. He was a loyal and wonderful friend. Enjoyed many fun times together at his parents house. Rest with the angels dear friend.
