Dominic "Jocko" Montalbano passed away July 16, 2017 with his family and his loving wife of 64 years, Lillian, by his side. Dominic was born and raised in North Beach, S.F. In 1960 he opened his own company, Marina Produce in SSF, a business he took pride in even after his retirement in 2003 to Brentwood, Ca. He was a devoted husband, loving father to David (Sandra), Darlene (Sandra), Denise (Jim), Donna (Dino), Gina, and big brother to Jimmy (Roxy). He was preceded in death by his son Robert "Bobby" Montalbano. Dominic was a proud grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 13, with 2 more on the way. He had many friends and was loved by all. You'll always hold a special place in all our our hearts. We love you.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Lil and family. I just learned today of Don's passing. Kathy and I send all of you our deepest sympathies. Don, besides being a unique North Beach personality, was always pleasant and respectful towards my wife and me through the many years we've known all of you. I hope the new life coming in the family helps to offset the painful sense of loss you must be feeling right now. May Jocko rest in peace.
