Don Sabatini Obituary

Don Sabatini Don passed away peacefully on October 25 after a short illness. He was born in San Francisco on October 10, 1929 and attended St Vincent de Paul grammar school, Galileo High School and Saint Mary's College in Moraga. In 1956, Don married Pat Clark and they had five children. Don had a long career in the car business and started Burlingame Imports in 1970 where he sold Fiats and Alpha Romeos. He was a proud member of the Fiat Dealer Council and frequently traveled to Italy for dealer business. After retiring from the auto business, Don became a successful real estate investor. Don and Pat were fortunate to share their love of traveling on many wonderful trips all over the world with their friends and family. Don was especially happy to take his family to Italy in 2006, where he and Pat celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. He also enjoyed spending time at his vacation home in Lake Tahoe. Everyone who knew Don will remember his passion for cooking. He was a master chef and truly enjoyed cooking big meals for family and friends. Don was a member of the Olympic Club and a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Angels Parish. He looked forward to his monthly luncheons with his friends from the Marina. In addition to many great friends, Don is survived by his wife Pat, his son Don (Cindi), his daughters Ann (John Herrerias), Lisa, Adrian (Bill Peterson) and Maria (Dan Covatta), his grandchildren Gianna, Anthony and Tommy Sabatini, Jack and Jim Herrerias, Bridget, Megan, Kathleen and Maureen Mahoney, Sam and Harry Peterson and Francis and Alexis Covatta, his sister, Roberta Healy, his sister in law and brother in law, Rita and Stewart Semple, cousins and many loved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Phil. Friends and family are invited to a vigil service to be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 1st at Crosby-N. Gray Funeral Home, 2 Park Road, Burlingame, Ca 94010, a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 2nd, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Angels Church, 1721 Hillside Drive, Burlingame, Ca 94010 and a reception immediately following in San Francisco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics Northern California, 3480 Buskirk Avenue, Suite 340, Pleasant Hill, Ca 94523 or the Capuchin Franciscans at Our Lady of Angels Church, 1345 Cortez Ave., Burlingame Ca 94010.
