Don and I were good friends back in Detroit in the 60s we went to school together and hung around togethe. Glad you had a good life and a wife and kids. I was always concerned about him and sorry he´s gone. I know it´s been a number of years, but I just thought I check up on him. Sorry about your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
I was very shocked by the news.
We grew up together and had a lot of fun as kids, especially at the farm. Don was a very artistic teen. Unfortunately, as we got older and had our own families, we lost touch. May God bless you and your family.

Alf, you were one of the three men who treated me like a son. I look forward to seeing you again.

I will always be grateful to Alfy for our daughter, Nicole Dione. He was also just as concerned for my son, Asa, as he was for his own child. He was an involved father when the kids were little, and never stopped being concerned about them and proud of them. He was very proud of both his daughters, Nicole and Della Rose. I am so glad to have Della and her mother Debra, in my extended family. Alfy was a very good hearted person. He was forgiving and optimistic. He fought some very hard battles in his life and he won. Though life was always a struggle he never gave up looking for the silver lining. I am glad I knew him. God bless you, Alfy.

The man, Donald DeSaix, I did not know. But, still, he made me a beneficiary of his legacy. His life gave me dearest Nicky who now graces my life as someone more than simply a daughter-in-law.

Thank you, Alfy, for our little girl.

I will always be forever thankful to Donald DeSaix for his two amazing, smart, interesting, beautiful daughters. Nicky, my wife, and Della, my sister-in-law, are two of the most unique and special people I've ever known. There is a warm glow that surrounds both of them. Nicky and Della make the world a better place, filled with kindness and love.

My personal connection with Don was through our mutual passion for the sea and the classic ships that sailed them. As a master model builder, his extensive knowledge of boats combined with my experience as a diver and boat captain led to many long, fascinating conversations phone conservstions.

Don DeSaix's skill and creativity as an artist and graphic designer fills me with both pride and inspiration. As a working artist, we never had a shortage of things to talk about. You will be missed, Laine Sheridan.

Rest in peace daddy. Not one day goes by we do not hold you in our thoughts and prayers. You are an inspiration to many and a hero as well. You always look towards the brighter side of life even in the darkest of times. So I know you are in a better place looking after us even still.

I love you daddy.
