Dear Family & Friends:
Please accept my sincere condolences.
Don was at the Cooperage when I arrived - around 1967. Don was an outstanding gentlemen - kind & generous. Plus, he really knew business! As a waiter at the Cooperage Restaurant, my college tuition and tabs for leisure were covered by tips earned. It was an enviable job as the Cooperage was perhaps the best "Dinner House" for the young, spirited, single and upward mobile in San Francisco. The staff, food & atmosphere were all "First Class". Thanks Don! I tip my heart to you.
Goodbye and God Bless, Jim Wallace

Trish, our most heartfelt condolences to you and the Stephens family on the loss of Don. As you know I first met Don in the Cooperage days when my wife had a store downstairs. Our paths crossed over the years as his banking and real estate careers unfolded. He was always a "shaker and mover" and larger than life. His presence will be missed.

Trish and Family,
So sorry to hear about Don's passing. I have helped cater at your home in Sf and in St. Helena and used to work at the Bank of SF years ago helping with events.
Don was always cordial and always said thank you and was appreciative for the work we did for him.
Sending love to you and your family.
