Ed Eggleson Obituary

Ed Eggleson
February 6, 1931 - July 21, 2022
Ed Eggleson, beloved husband and father, passed away on July 21, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. He was 91 years old. He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Bev. He also leaves behind his daughter Cindy, grandchildren Lauren (Lauren's husband Jon), Brittany, Dominic, and his son-in-law Brad. He is predeceased by his father Rene, mother Petra, brother Robert and daughter Michele Cassetta.
Born in San Mateo, Ed lived in Redwood City all of his life.
Ed served in the Korean War, 24th Infantry division. While in Japan, he served as an MP. Ed was in the Army for three years, and in the reserves for five years.
While attending night school at the College of San Mateo for electrical trade school, Ed worked as an electrician for Atlas electric.. He later worked for Atlas Pellizzari and was a member of Electrical Union #617 for 68 years.
In his leisure time, Ed could be found in his extensive vegetable garden or in the garage working on the latest project. He was always ready and eager to help anyone that he could. With the help of his father-in-law and brother-in-law, Ed built the house that they still reside in today.
We will miss his laugh, his sense of humor, and the love he gave to all of us.
The family has planned a Memorial Mass at St. Pius Church on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stanford Cancer research: [email protected]
