Edward J. Murtha passed away Nov. 19, 2024, in Queen Creek, Arizona. Ed was predeceased by parents, John and Anna, and sister, Barbara. Survived by brothers, Larry of Queen Creek, AZ, and Steve of Corrales, NM, and family in the New York City area, Germany, and Switzerland. Ed was a proud member of the Class of 1967 Archbishop Riordan High School San Francisco and served in the US Army. He earned a Masters of Library Science from San Jose State University and retired from the San Francisco Public Library. Committal service at Holy Cross Cemetery Colma, CA, April 17, 2025 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Riordan HS.

My Dad and I were longtime neighbors of Ed´s at Woodlake. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul who was liked by many. Condolences to his loved ones.
