Eileen Klafter Obituary

Eileen Klafter
July 22, 1981 - July 8, 2022
Eileen Rose Klafter passed away in Seattle, Washington on July 8, 2022 after a brief and acute illness. She was forty years old. Eileen grew up in San Francisco, a fourth generation San Franciscan on her mother's side, where she attended The Hamlin School and Urban School of San Francisco. Eileen majored in Comparative Religion at the University of Washington and received her teaching credential in Special Education at San Francisco State University. She worked as a special education teacher and an early childhood educator in both San Francisco and Seattle. In addition to being around children, Eileen loved spending time with her rescue dogs, Wesley and Lucy and close friends from college, high school, and even elementary school. She enjoyed being outdoors in the Seattle area and she loved watching Jeopardy and Golden Girls. Eileen is survived by her father Cary and his partner, Kathy, her brother Ben and his partner Juliette, sister Anna, brother-in-law Jason and beloved nephew and niece, Reuben and Naomi. In lieu of flowers, consider a gift to one of Eileen's favorite organizations: Imagine Peace for Pups: http://imaginepeaceforpupsrescue.com/donation/

Rest in peace Eileen. The world misses you. God will now take care of you. Your work I'm sure will continue for the special needs children. They're in good hands. Take a bow to your life's achievements. We did. We'll celebrate your life each day by helping those in need that you didn't get the chance to meet.
