Elisa Rigdon Obituary
April 12, 1926 - April 17, 2023
Elisa Anne Rigdon was a child of God, with a massive heart and a wonderful voice, which she used to spread love to all she met.
She loved roller skating and spotting movie stars filming on the streets near the house where she grew up in North Beach. She worked at Alameda Naval Air base during WWII and later as a clerk for the Bank of America. She sang in nightclubs, raised two children as a single mom and enjoyed drawing and painting.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 82 and again at age 95. She was able to celebrate her last Lent and Easter at home. She passed away April 17, 2023 in hospice.
In her last hours, she asked that we take care of the whole world, which she prayed for daily. Funeral services will be private.
She is survived by her son Stephen Rigdon; her daughter Joan Indiana Lyness; stepsons Fr. Vincent Rigdon and Daniel Rigdon; two grandchildren, Edward Indiana Lyness and Cambria Lee Lyness; and her sister Louise Gonzales.
