November 3, 1929 - January 28, 2018
In an unexpected, but characteristic move, Elizabeth Weekes Pigford slipped away quietly on Sunday morning, January 28. With her glasses on the bedside table and her book by her side, she died as she had lived, without much fanfare but with an abundance of grace. She was 88.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I had the wonderful opportunity to get to know Betty through my friends Mary Rogier and Sarah Nelson. I was the wedding coordinator for Mary and Sarah's wedding, and worked with Betty on the rehearsal dinner, among other projects.
What an elegant and eloquent person Betty was. I so enjoyed her "can do" attitude and learned from her that nothing was impossible! I loved her commitment to the Berkely Choir too...and was always so impresssed with her fund raising skills...no one could do it like Betty!
Laura, my heartfelt sympathies to you and your family. I feel blessed to have had the chance to get to know Betty over the years. My prayers are with all of you.

Betty, with her Oakland Courthouse Athletic Club fellow athletes...who will miss her dearly! We raise our glasses to you, Betty, with love.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends, for the lost of their beloved Elizabeth. I hope the promise at John 6:40 can bring real comfort. Knowing that there is hope for our love ones. ❤
