Dear Fong Family:

We are a group of nine who have knitted together at the Merced Branch Library in San Francisco for at least 4 years. I am the group leader and Ellen's gentle and warm presence would light up our knitting area! Once we went around the circle and talked about where we grew up. I was very interested in hearing her talk about her growing up in Mississippi. There was a delighted side about her that we all were so interested in what she had to say. That was Ellen's nature: a lot to give, a lot to share in her soft yet animated way!

Our most sincere condolences, we are:
Esther Kwan, Knitting group leader, and:
Julie, Flora, Jane, Rose, Amy, Margie, Nicole, and Veronica

Dear Quock, Elaine, Elise & Jonathan, Kent & Andrea, and all the Fong family,

Ellen is such a wonderful blend of sincere, committed, and joyful follower of Jesus. We felt her loving support & encouragement and benefited greatly from her prayers during the wonderful years(1990-1993)Bill co-pastored at FCSBC. We'll miss the special after church lunches Ellen always arranged when we have visited the Bay Area through the years. Praise God she was able to enjoy the celebration of FCSBC's 60th year anniversary in October, 2015 ! !

We are praying for all of you, especially this evening and during the service tomorrow morning as many friends gather with you to grieve her loss and to thank our Lord for the absolute assurance we have that Ellen is with Him forever. What a blessed hope that cheers our hearts even through the tears.

Love in Christ,

Bill and Pam

Our sympathies and condolences to the Fong family (Quock, Elaine, Elise, and Kent). We are upholding you all in prayer.

Cindy and I will always remember Auntie Ellen for her warm "Southern" personality and love. We just enjoyed engaging in conversation with her, sharing with each other what God has been doing in our lives. She always brought us a smile and wonderful memories of our friendship over the years. I (Wing) will miss our serendipitous meetings at McDonald's at Stonestown sharing coffee and friendship. She was a very special friend and sister in Christ. We look forward to seeing her again in "Heaven Above."
