Dr. Ellen Chambers Into

October 17, 1933November 25, 2017

Dr. Ellen Chambers Into, 84, beloved daughter of the late Esther and Whittaker Chambers of Westminster, MD died on November 25th, 2017 at Candle Light Cove in Easton, MD after a long and courageous struggle with Parkinson's disease. She leaves behind her son John and his wife Nancy of Wittman, MD; daughter Pamela of Easton, MD; son Stephen and his wife Valerie of Harvard, MA; grandchildren Nicole and Kyle of Harvard, MA; and her brother John of Westminster, MD.
Ellen was born on October 17th, 1933 in New York City, and was a 1951 graduate of Westminster, MD High School, attended Smith College in North Hampton, MA, the University of Hartford in Hartford, CT, and the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT where she earned her Master's Degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. In addition to her private practice she was a psychologist at the Veteran's Hospital in Newington, Connecticut and the public-schools in Middletown, Connecticut and San Francisco. She was a licensed realtor and a recognized painter, showing her works in her own galleries and studios, the San Francisco Yerba Buena Art Center, and in many private and public collections. Ellen returned to Maryland for her retirement.
Details of her memorial service are being planned by her family.

Ellen and were both in the Univ. of Conn clinical psychology program together as graduate students. I remember her with great fondness. Was thinking about her, did a search, and quickly came across this sad news of her passing.
