Enid Paoli Obituary

Enid E. Everman Paoli In 2010 on May 26. Cherished wife of the late Theodore H Paoli MD; loving sister of the late Cornwall C. Everman MD; beloved mother of Gary (Gail) William of Villa Park, Andrew (Anne) Scott of San Francisco and Pamela Claire of Belmont; cherished grandmother of Aurie Theresa, Andrew Theodore, David Drew, and the late Randall William; aunt of Jerald Patrick Everman; and dear cousin of Pat Calhoon of San Rafael. Also survived by many relatives and friends. A native of San Francisco, Enid attended the upper school at Dominican and graduated from the new Dominican University of California. For nine years, she taught English and drama, where she was an important role model to her many students at San Rafael High School. Upon her marriage in 1939, she and her husband Dr. Theodore Paoli came to St. Cecilia Parish in San Francisco where they became active parishioners. With Ted's untimely death, she joined the League of the Sacred Heart, eventually serving as president. At Seton Medical Center she was a member of the Community Advisory Board and of the Cornette Society. Enid loved to travel and was heard to explain, "Well, I haven't been to Russia." She enjoyed playing golf with her husband on Sundays at the Olympic Club and going out to dinner with their many good friends afterwards. Enid loved life and she lived it. Friends may visit Monday May 31, after 6pm and are invited to attend the Rosary Service 7pm, and the Funeral Mass Tuesday 12:30pm (ALL) at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 17th & Vicente St., San Francisco. Private internment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Health Services Foundation of Seton Medical Center, 1900 Sullivan Avenue, Daly City or to your favorite charity.

I was so sorry to read of the passing of Enid. The Paoli Family was an important part of my life growing up. My father, Joe Marraccini, and my aunts, Rose and Erba. shared many happy times with Enid and Ted. I remember birthday parties at your house when I was little. Do you still have the merry-go-round!!!! As the years went on and I started spending more time with my Aunt Erba, she would always talk about the trips they went on ant other things she and Rose did with Enid. (I will always remember Enid's beautiful handwriting). My prayers are with you.

To Gary, Andy and Pamela: I first met your mother (Aunt Enid to me) when I was a young mother of 19...that was over 50 years ago. I have been thinking of what to say and have a hard time not rambling on and on. So, to keep it short and simple....Aunt Enid was a Light in my life, good to me and good to my children. She exhibited kindness and thoughtfulness to us for all these years. Many happy memories in my life involve your mother.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
