Born in New York City to Leo and Madeline (Gaskins) Kempinski. Resident of Redding, CA, formerly of Ross and Napa by way of Pasadena and Canada. Survived by Louise, his wife of 34 years; children Paul, Lawrence, and Suzanne. Predeceased by daughter Scotty. Korean War service, US Army Sgt., Med-Tech. Erik applied his mathematical prowess at Franciscan Ware and Heffernan Tiles Ltd. Founded REES executive recruitment, from which he retired.
