Born on April 18,1921. At rest on All Souls Day, November 2, 2018, at age 97. Proud daughter of Jose Lopez and dear sister to the late America Garcia and Delfina Contreras.She is predeceased by the love of her life, Robert James Pearson. Loving mother to Robert J. Pearson (Linda) and Barbara J. Harvey (Thomas). Adored grandmother to Robin Grochol (Steve), Lauren Firebaugh, Thomas Harvey (Colleen), Kristen Harvey (Vanessa). Stefani Pearson and Kimberly Cahill (Andrew). She was the proud great grandmother to Ryan and Reese Grochol; Maggie, Tommy, Annie, and Bridget Harvey; Finley and Abby Firebaugh; and Noalani and Cooper Cahill. Cherished Aunt to Rosemarie Scrosati and the late Anita Wasserberger.
Ernestine was a Cosmetologist, a homemaker, needlepoint and slot machine extraordinaire. She was a fan of Joe Montana's 49ers and the San Francisco Giants. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and was an excellent gardener. She could bring an apparently dead plant back to life. Most importantly, she was a "baby whisperer." Children of all ages were drawn to and entertained by her. Ernestine was a resident of Ashton Avenue for over seven decades. Her kind and selfless heart still beats within all of us. She will be greatly missed and remembered fondly.

A Vigil Service will be held on November 13th at 7 pm at McAvoy O'Hara Co.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on November 14th at 11 am at Saint Cecilia Church, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
