Ethel Mickenberg Obituary

Ethel Mickenberg
10/22/1937 - 09/15/2025
Ethel Mickenberg passed away in the early morning of September 15, 2025 at the age of 87, after a seven year journey with Alzheimer's disease. Joe, her husband of 32 years was by her side.
Born on October 22, 1937 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Ethel was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Sarah Mickenberg. Ethel was the loving sister to Herg(Jan) and Norman(all deceased). Ethel is survived by her husband Joe, the beloved aunt to Linda(Bill), Steve(chris), Michael and Richard. Ethel was also a devoted stepmother to Lisa and a loving grandmother to Quinn and Emily.
A 55 year resident of San Francisco, Ethel was a prominent member of the community. Ethel had a passion for the Giants, Warriors and 49ers. She loved playing tennis, dancing and traveling. Ethel's big blue eyes and great smile will be deeply missed.
Professionally Ethel worked as an executive assistant for Richard Blum and then for KTVU. She always had your back.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Ethel's memory.
A celebration honoring Ethel's life will be held at a later date.
