Fernando G Navarrete of San Francisco, born 1923, passed away at the age of 93 on September 22, 2017 due to a short illness. He is survived by his sisters Aracely and Teresa; his sons Fernando, Rick, Tony, and Ed; his daughters-in-law Victoria, Joy, and Teri; his grandchildren Heather, Ryan, Andrew, Nicolas, Isabel, and Carmen; and many nieces and nephews who thought of him as their adopted father. Fernando was an active and dedicated member of St. Anne's of the Sunset, and loved to dance, especially with his beloved wife Beatriz, whom he is joining in eternal peace five long years after her death. Fernando and Beatriz were both born in Progresso, Mexico. Together they immigrated to the United States in the 1950's, eventually settling down in the Sunset District to nurture their family. They took in foster children, became active members of the San Francisco community, and bettered the world in unmeasurable ways. Fernando doted on his grandchildren, gifting them with sweets and toys, and will be remembered fondly as a bringer of goodies, love, and culture. Services will be held on Thursday, October 5 at 11:00 at St. Anne's of the Sunset, located at 850 Judah Street, San Francisco, California (http://www.stanne-sf.org/).To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

God bless his soul... I knew him and his wife Beatriz from St. Anne's parish. He was such a gentle spirit and his wife Beatriz was an angel. Now they are united together in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Fernando is deeply missed at Cypress. He was always one of the first to attend our weekly Communion Service. A true and loving gentleman.
He is now enjoying his Eternal reward with his beloved wife.
