Fiorenzo "Pisa" Grasseschi was born on June 22, 1939 in Pisa, Italy to Ardelia Roventini and Fiorvante Grasseschi, two very strong-willed Italians. Fiorenzo grew up in Tuscany, Italy where he learned all his Italian ways that would make him the strong man he became. After being raised in Italy an opportunity arose and Fiorenzo moved to the United States of America where he came by boat in 1958. Being the charming Italian man he was, he met a strong spirited woman named Maria at the Sons of Italy in San Francisco. They married and later had two sons, Oberdano Grasseschi and Fiorvante Grasseschi II. Fiorenzo loved hunting and gardening. His natural wit and sharpness gave him a career in general contracting which led to being a Naval Air craft painter. He always praised hard work and family, which he did his best to instill in his grandsons Vante & Mike and his great grandchildren Mike, Mialani, Santino and Maliah Grasseschi.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Church of the Epiphany, 827 Vienna St., San Francisco. A reception will follow at a location to be announced.
