Florence Brown Obituary

Florence Louise (Lee) Brown

Oct. 21, 1917 - Nov. 16, 2013

Resident of Redwood City

Passed away peacefully at age 96. She was the beloved wife of Howard E. Brown, devoted mother of Martha Brown Gould (Geoffrey) and John H. Brown (Barbara), grandmother of Jesse Gould, Grace Gould (Peter Lee), Sonja Gould, Kevin Brown, Julie Brown, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Florence was a long time resident of San Mateo and Saratoga. She was an active member of PEO Women's Group and the churches she attended. She was born in Staunton, Illinois and was trained and worked as a nurse anesthetist at St. John's Nursing School in Springfield, Illinois.  Florence touched many lives with her sweet, gentle spirit and her greatest treasure was her family and friends and all the activities surrounding them.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers at Gordon Manor and Devonshire Oaks Nursing Facility in Redwood City.
