Dear Family and Friends, I just found out that we no longer have a WONDERFUL friend around. One of my pet-sitting clients informed me that he passed a couple of years ago, as I was reminiscing about my days at the Warriors' office and what a wonderful family it was to work with everyone there. We worked but had fun and I'm glad I had that opportunity when I did. Franklin will be remembered by everyone he came in contact with. I have a lot of GREAT MEMORIES and I miss him.

Dear Holly and Family
I was a next door neighbor to Franklin's house in Berkeley. He was one of the most genuine and likeable people I have known. And he was always intereted new ideas and thoughts. My restaurant held a Pig Roast and Luau for the Warriors one year and it was a really fun event, Franklin was real...a man among men. My life was enhanced by the personality of your dad, and by the interaction he and I shared during our time as neighbors, which a few years

Dear Blake and the Mieuli Family:
Franklin gave me my first job out of USF, handling promotional work for Al Attles and working with Anita in the office. He was fun, interesting, and totally committed to winning. I had never met an adult like him! It makes me smile to think of him--one of a kind!

We grew up on San Francisco sports - the Seals, 49ers; even the USF Dons from which came many Warriors players in the early days. Some players of all 3 teams even worked for my dad in the off-seasons, painting houses, until players began to be compensated so hugely as they are today. My family were also friends with the Morabitos, our neighbors. Jane Morabito used to take us children to tea at the Fairmont Hotel their home in Sea Cliff was always open to us. And it was there, we first met Mr. Mieuli. Sitting on the first bench at Kezar Pavillion cheering for the Warriors, or Kezar Stadium on the 40 Yard Line, 49ers vs. Bears; or at USF watching a Dons game, betting which players would soon become Warriors. From the beginning, Frank Mieuli was synonymous with Warriors basketball and the San Francisco scene. In the late 1960s working at KSFO Radio and KCBS, Mr. Mieuli often stopped by for an interview. It was always a privilege to be able to say "hello" and "great game." We recently had contact with another friend from high school, former Warrior Tom Meschery, and reminisced a little about "the old days" of sports. Everyone has stories; let's hear them. Our condolences to Blake and family.

Dear Mieuli Family,
May God hold you in His loving and consoling embrace as you grieve the loss of your beloved Franklin.
My Dad and Uncle, Harold and Walter Anderson, grew up with Franklin in San Jose. We always heard about the fun escapades of the boys in the hood!! Franklin always went out of his way to greet Dad and my Uncle and our families when he saw us at different sporting events and other happenings over the years.
A class act!

You are in my prayers.

I know of an extraordinary compassionate man
Who lived and believed in doing all that he can.
For I know others who have met him will concur
I am honored to know this man as my Granfather.
He was strong yet gentle with an impressible drive
In him I find virtues for which I strive.
He has fought battles and at times had to make a sacrifice
Of which I know he would never think twice.
He carried a spirit within him that cannot be ignored
This spirit from heaven God's precious reward.
He maintained with wondrous art
Perpetual love and kindness in his heart.
Like the oysters that beautify and protect the pearls,
He enriches and preserves the lives of his family.
And in looking back on all the years of my life
He has always expressed love to my mom, uncle, and all the grandchildren.
And with that there is nothing more to add
Because all the love he's shared makes me very glad.
So the greatest man that I have ever known
Is the Grandfather I am proud to call my own.

Oh, the good golden times we shared-from Stinson Beach to Lanikai and Bora Bora and beyond. The Thanksgiving we imu-ed the turkey, our lunches at Cesar's, Martinis at Moose's, the Ramos Fizzes you made Sundays at Lanikai, the gecko in the bottle I brought you from Vietnam (which even Geno would't try), the parades and parties (Blake's 65th) and laughter, always laughter amid the 49er victories & Warrior defeats. We miss you,Franklin, here's to the best of times with you.
