Fred Shahbazian Obituary

Fred Shahbazian

Fred Shahbazian passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022, at the age of 91. Fred was a long time resident of Daly City who came to San Francisco in the late 1950's where he met his wife Christa. Fred and Christa went on to have two sons, Mark and James. Fred worked in downtown San Francisco as an Office Manager at Crown Zellerbach for over 30 years. He was very active coaching his son's basketball teams as well as going on numerous trips to Lake Tahoe with his family. Following his retirement at the end of the 1980's Fred enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies included following Bay Area professional teams, storytelling, and watching classic movies. He loved spending time with his grandsons and their numerous activities. Fred leaves behind his wife, Christa, his sons Mark and James (daughter in law Sally) and his beloved grandsons, Andrew and Adam. Fred loved his family dearly and it was present until the end. His loyalty to his wife, sons, daughter-in-law, and grandsons will be forever present.

I am thinking of your family during this sad and reflective time. Of course, I met both Fred, James and Adam in line at the San Bruno Starbucks store as I noticed 3 generations of a family together. My Starbucks friendship with the Shahbazian family began 20 years ago. What a story of love, integrity and loyalty.
