I worked with George at CPUC years ago and was very sad to hear of his passing. He was one of my favorites at CPUC, I could always count on George to have the solution to any given situation. Although, we love and will miss you George, God loved you best and he decided to call you home. So rest in peace my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I will always hold you in high regard. Ella Borden-Cowden

George loved animals and horses. He used to ride my horse, Barney, until one day he fell off and broke his arm. George, Here on Earth, I will miss you but in Heaven, you will have fun jumping over fences and galloping with Barney and I promise you will never fall or break your arm again!

It is difficult to imagine the world without George. He was adept at his work and I and many retirees owe him a debt of gratitude for his arrangement of our retirements to our benefit.

I will miss you George, your civility, sense of style and incredible passion for life are examples I have tried to follow, in my own way. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are suffering with this loss too soon after the loss of his wife.

George, as HR Chief, worked with me for many years, and later when I was his manager, I knew him from a different perspective. George was constantly the knowledgeable, skilled, kind, and compasionate person you would want as head of HR. His demeanor was calm which was a wonderful skill in mediating personnel matters. I shall always remember his term "gentlemen" said with a smile.
