George Hirzel

George Hirzel 1913-2007 George passed away peacefully in his Menlo Park home, on July 25th. Born to George and Karoline Hirzel on July 27, 1913, in Konstanz, Germany. Dad immigrated to America, following his father with his mother in 1923 and settled in San Francisco, CA. He became a US Citizen in 1937. George married the boss's daughter, his beloved Doris, in 1936 and enjoyed 63 years of marriage. George Hirzel Jewelry, located in Menlo Park, served the community for 43 years. dad opened the store in 1952 and retired in 1993, due to macular degeneration. He is survived by his son Don of Livermore and his daughter Caroline Parker of Belmont. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007, 1pm, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 1095 Cloud Ave., Menlo Park, CA. Memorial donations may be made to Pathways Hospice, 585 N.
