Gina De Sousa passed away on December 26, 2024. Born in Boston, in 1940, she was a member of a large Cape Verdean community.
Gina began working as a social worker in the '70s, and later became a licensed clinical social worker in 1981. In 1995, she went into full-time private practice as a psychotherapist. Gina loved movies, theater, comedy, and live music. She also loved spending time with her poodle dog, Taffy. A two-day visitation will be held on January 25 and 26, and funeral services will be held on January 27, at Sunset View Mortuary in El Cerrito. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
