Gregory James Rockwell

Gregory James Rockwell, a Greenbrae resident since 1987, passed away on October 20, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. He died at his home surrounded by his loving family. Greg was born on May 25, 1951 in Oakland, California to John Hobart Rockwell, Jr. and Phyllis Mary Butler. He is survived by and will forever be in the hearts and minds of his wife, Linda; his son, Nicholas and his step-daughter Erica Lane (Tim). He is also survived by brothers John, Peter, Steve and Tim (Loretta) as well as many nieces and nephews. Greg grew up in Novato, California and attended the University of San Francisco, receiving his J.D. in 1975. He joined the Boornazian, Jensen & Garthe law firm in 1976, became a shareholder in 1981 and continued his distinguished career with that firm until his untimely death. Greg was a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and was well respected and regarded in the legal community. Greg was a life long San Francisco Giant's fan, loved traveling to Maui every year, playing golf and eating at the counter at Marin Joe's Restaurant. Greg never took himself too seriously and continued to display his sense of humor right up until his final moments. His wit and ability to make others smile and laugh will be sorely missed by his family, friends and colleagues. As Greg requested, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of his life event will be announced and held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to your charity of choice.

I just learned that Greg passed away. I used to be an associate at Boornazian and often worked with Greg. He was someone I really enjoyed working with and he taught me a lot as I was navigating as a new lawyer. It truly breaks my heart that he is gone. My thoughts and prayers are with Linda and his family.
