Helen "Leni" Albers Helen "Leni" Albers, a 50-year resident of El Cerrito, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the age of 88. Born in Dusseldorf, Germany, Leni spent her youth in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1952 and to the United States in 1956. Leni was a joy to all who knew her. She was funny, engaging and a lively spirit. She was the devoted mother of Harry Albers DDS and Margie Albers. She helped raise 3 granddaughters Megan, Saundra and Haley whom loved and adored her. She was happily married to Hans Albers for 62 years who passed away two years ago this month at the age of 91. She always carried her self with dignity, grace, warmth and compassion. She could get a laugh out of almost any situation with her dry wit. We all loved her so much.
Helen also leaves behind her brother, Joe Kurvers and his family. She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family who will never forget her love, her strength and her spunk.

Memorial service Friday, February 8, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at Sunset View Mortuary, top of Fairmount Avenue, El Cerrito. Interment to follow at Sunset View Cemetery.
