Helen Conroy Obituary

CONROY, Helen M. - Born in Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland, 1913, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Sat, March 26, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Capt. Hugh J. Conroy SFPD; devoted mother of John and daughter-in-law, Barbara; Hugh and daughter-in-law, Linda; loving grandmother of Hugh and his wife Kristin, Jeanne and Julie Conroy; proud great-grandmother to Ella, Ivy and Jack Conroy. Predeceased by her cherished daughter Marilyn and grandson, Colin. Sister of the late Tom Barry, May Ruane and Josephine McDonough. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was a proud resident of San Francisco for 75 years. She devoted her life to her family and Church. The family would like to give special recognition to her devoted caregivers Emily Abellar, Carmen Macawile and Lisa Dorn. Family and friends may visit Wednesday 4pm to 7pm with a 6pm Vigil Service at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave, DC. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thurs, 10am at St. Cecilia's Church (17th and Vicente SF). Committal Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lupus Foundation of Northern California, 2635 N. First St., Suite 206, San Jose, CA 95134.
