Dear Matilda and family, please accept our sincere condolences.

We will miss our friend Henri; he was very instrumental in my life. He was a caring and wonderful person, someone whose long friendship was treasured. We are so sorry, to just learn of his passing and that we missed his funeral.

My heartfelt sympathies to the family. Henri was a very kind and sweet man. When I first started my ravioli business, I met with Henri a couple of times for information and tips on how to run a food business. He was very helpful and I always remember the story of when he first opened his pate shop in San Francisco. Business was slow and then the food editor of the SF Chronicle walked by and asked about his pate. He ran a story in the paper the following week and the rest is history. He told me not to lose hope or give up. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He will fondly be remembered.
