I worked for Dr Herc and Dr Z from 2014-2015 before I moved to Roseville Ca. He would tell me not to move because I would hate the heat and hate it here. I'm so sad to hear he passed away. He was a great man with such a sweet soul. Very gentle, calm in conversations and always had such a great smile. Even though I only knew him such a short time he made such a difference in my life with his advice and teachings during lunch hours. My condolences to his family and friends. Dr. Herc thank you for teaching me about the number 8 and 3, Infinity, love and stability.

Herc and I were classmates together at UCSF School of Dentistry so our paths connected often during those four years. After that our connections were at State Dental Conventions, Post Grad classes, and five year reunions . As I practiced in Contra Costa County and Herc in Alameda County we did not see one another often. We connected again Barbara Voinar,s Yoga classes on 4TH street in Berkeley. I really enjoyed having coffee and conversation with Herc after class. I found during those visits I realized that my world View aligned with his more than I would have suspected, or perhaps it always was. I so looked forward to those visits and am sad he is no longer with us. His life certainly benifited this world. He helped so many people during his life, it must be celebrated and remembered for all the good he accomplished.

Uncle Herc was a very passionate man. We used to go and see him twice a year for dental cleanings and dinner with him, Aunt Caroline, and the kids. He was my brother Steven's god father, and Steve absolutely adored him. I am very sorry for the loss of Herc to his wife and family. I know how much you will miss him. Please know that he has found my dad, Harry Maravelias, and they are probably having great fun together! Rest in eternal peace, Herc. Until we meet again.
