Hugo Rolando Villavicencio, of San Francisco, passed away on October 7, 2025, at age 73. He was born in Guatemala and immigrated with his family to Richmond, CA, at age two. He then moved to San Francisco and grew up in the Mission District, where he developed his lifelong pride in the city he called home. He attended St. James Boys Elementary and Sacred Heart Cathedral. Hugo followed three generations of family jewelry making and worked as a jeweler for many years. Hugo later transitioned to a new career as a real estate agent and developer, with over 30 years in real estate, developing homes across San Francisco and taking great pride in the city's architecture. Hugo's greatest joy was being an all-star uncle. He helped raise his nephews, shared a home with them, and was present for every milestone, game, and moment. He enjoyed Scottsdale, Arizona, with his other nephews, Giovanni and Ian. His love, humor, and loyalty shaped his family's lives forever. A devoted Bay Area sports fan, Hugo followed the 49ers, Giants, and Warriors faithfully and loved celebrating their championship years. At home in Noe Valley, Hugo enjoyed his morning walks with his beloved dog Bosa to Martha's Coffee (Duncan St), greeting neighbors and soaking in the city he loved, and cuddling with his cat Tigre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margoth and Pedro Villavicencio. He is survived by his siblings Walter and Norma (Rich Yanikian), and by his nephews Giovanni, Ian, Julian, Gabriel, and Marcelo. Services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City - Viewing at 11:00 AM, Service at 12:00 PM (livestream available). Burial: 1:30 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery.
