I only heard of Ian's passing tonight - from his friends in Flipper, playing tonight in Seattle. Ian was my business partner and friend; and although I have not seen him in over ten years, I have often thought about him and miss him greatly. I started working with Ian when moved his studio in 1982; when he moved to Reno, I continued that business and our friendship. I had the opportunity to meet both Cari and Jennifer, and would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me: I would love to share my memories with you.

Kenny & I had a memorial in Calgary for Ian on Tuesday. It was very moving and quite non-traditional (quite apropos for Ian). My family spoke and shared memories of Ian - some of which made Kenny laugh - my friend played guitar. At the end of the memorial we released balloons into the air (-29 C) to send our love to Ian.
Kenny will never have a chance to get to know his dad any better and he mourns for that. We all mourn for lost opportunities with his death.
Our condolences and best wishes go out to the rest of his family.

Hey Buddy,
I will miss you. I will miss the provocative conversations, and the time you, me and our Baby got together, it was always so much fun and times that Olivia will always cherish...now who the hell am I gonna call when there is something geeky, yet of interest on NPR? Miss you, and always loved you........Annie
