IDA GUILLORY Obituary

Ida Mae Guillory Ida Mae Guillory was born in Eunice, Louisiana. She was married to Bennet Guillory who preceded her in death in 1992. Ida has lived in Sonoma County for many decades. She was an active member in her church, St. Elizabeth Seton, in Rohnert Park. Her family was her pride and joy and cherished spending time with them - she truly was the matriarch of the family. She was a healer and had tremendous faith. Whenever her family felt the need for prayers they would tell "MaMa". She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children: Mary Vallot, Tony Guillory, Velma Guillory, Ben Guillory and his wife Ghen, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, her sister Theresa Harris, her life long friend Priscilla Saigon, numerous nieces throughout the country as well as many extended family members. A memorial web page has been developed on Facebook for "Ida Mae Guillory". The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Kaiser Hospital of Santa Rosa as well as to Memorial Hospice for all their kindness, care and support. A visitation will be held on Friday June 8, from 9:30am until 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 4595 Snyder Lane Rohnert Park, CA. A Rosary and Funeral Mass will follow at 11am to celebrate Ida's life. Committal services will be Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma at 12 noon.

My condoleances to the Guillory family. I have fond memories of Maudery (who helped us so much with our daughter Anne) and her husband Louis. Maudery had the same features as Ida Mae.

Mary, I hope you remember me from years ago when we were students at Portola. We did meet years later when you had married and had children. It was great seeing you. I'll always remember you.

Mary and Velma, my thoughts and prayers to the family. I will always remember your Mom as a Lady of grace and charm, and very soft spoken. I would visit her and your Dad with my Mom and Dad when they lived in San Francisco years and years ago. I am the daughter of Clemens and Clementine Guillory. Your Mom will always be missed.
