Iraj Lashgari Obituary
Feb. 15, 1939 ~ June 12, 2017
Iraj Roger Lashgari was the son of Golam Reza Lashgari and Fakhiran Garanmahe. Born on February 15, 1939 in Iran, he moved to the United States in 1957. After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in electrical engineering, Iraj met Donna Sue Reed in 1971.Iraj and Donna married in February 1973 and soon started a beautiful family. In addition to their sons Arya (married to Liz) and Audie and daughter Kimya (married to Peter), over the years, Iraj helped raise his nephews Shahriar (married to Martha) and Shahram (married to Sepideh), and nieces Katayun (married to Bahman) and Kerishmeh, each of whom he loved as his own. Whether he was coaching soccer or leading Boy Scout troops, Iraj was proud to support his children's interests in any way possible.
In 2000, Iraj retired from Hewlett Packard after 29 years of service, providing him an opportunity to enjoy life's simple pleasures: playing golf, traveling the world with Donna, and spending time with four beautiful grandchildren that adored their "Baba": Jessica (7), Wyatt (4), Hunter (3), and Reese (1). He treasured the time he spent on a daily basis with his beloved family members and many close friends.
Iraj passed on Monday, June 12, 2017, at his home in Redwood City. Services to celebrate his extraordinary life will be held at Faz Restaurant in Sunnyvale, on Monday, June 19, 2017 beginning at 6 pm. His adored sisters Soroya and Sima, his sister-in-law Malak, and nephew Sepehr will host a separate celebration in Tehran.

Iraj was my brother-in-law for 44 years. He was a pillar in the community and the foundation of a very successful and loving family. He welcomed many young adults into his home and fostered their efforts for an education. He maintained many friendships that lasted 75 years. His passing is a great loss to those who knew and loved him and his family is devastated. He was a good husband, father and friend.
