Papa, I miss you more than you could ever imagine. I love you.
October 30, 2016
Papa was the most gentle, kind, funny, WITTY, lovable, handsome, generous (my list is endless) man God gave us the honor of having in our lives. He is now where he should be and I'm sure with Joyce waiting for him at the gates to guide him in. His achievements throughout his entire life were of the highest degree, & of which there were many (another endless list) and I am honored & privileged to have been able to have had him in my life. I am going to miss his beautiful smile and the clever & witty things he would just spout out that would have me laugh out LOUD and for quite some time! It warms my heart knowing that he is an angel now and at peace, but will be missed greatly. My prayers go out to the family who loved him dearly. Thank you Papa, rest in peace. Lori Tooker

My dear dear Irv..I miss you today and will miss you always. But the memories of our days in Homeroom 317 and then 300 at James Denman Junior High from 1941 to spring of 1943, when 'kids' from Monroe, San Miquel, Glen Park, Sunnyside and other grammar schools met and 'grew up together, those precious memories will linger forever. Then our days at Balboa when we worked together on student body projects helped us to mature to become what we are. You were super as a basketball player, and I think I/we never missed sending a Christmas greeting to each from then until now. Irv, you added warmth, friendship, kindliness to all of our lives. I've asked God to take special care of you. From your pal from the Balboa Class of Fall 1946, Emily Powell.
