A fourth generation native San Franciscan and a graduate of Poly HS, class of 1940, passed away on Feb. 20, 2016 after a short illness. A veteran of WW II, his first duty was patrolling the beaches on the Oregon Coast shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor with his dog Duny, and later riding his horse, Mike. Upon applying for and completing Sonar Training in San Diego, he next served as a sonar tech on Naval and Coast Guard Vessels protecting shipping from Japanese's submarines in the Pacific.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
