James J. Feeney III

James J. Feeney, III Member of a pioneer Sacramento Valley ranching family died in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 19, 2007. Mr. Feeney was born August 4, 1928 in San Francisco to James and Otilla Feeney. He was raised in San Francisco and in Willows (Glenn County). Mr. Feeney was a graduate of Chico State College. Mr. Feeney married Marilyn Swartz of Chico in Willows in 1951. They had four children, James J. Feeney, IV of Gilbert, AZ, John T. Feeney (deceased) of Chico, Elizabeth Belmonte of Chico and Marianne Feeney of Gilbert, AZ. The couple later divorced. Mr. Feeney was a retired airline captain with Aloha Airlines in Honolulu. He was preceded in death by his sister Joan, Mrs. Michael Pickstone of Cape Town, South Africa and by his brother J.T. "Bucky" McGeoghegan (Grayce) of Monterey and Nevada City. He is survived by his wife Christa and their children Michael E. Feeney and Jennifer Kelly Feeney, all of Honolulu. Services were held at Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Honolulu.
