James Finney

James Hobart Finney Sept 9, 1931 - June 22, 2011 Resident of Fremont Jim passed away at the age of 79 years due to cardiac arrest. He is survived by his loving wife Claire of 59 years, his sons Steven (Geraldine) and Sean (Ren), grandchildren Misty, Bryan, Jimmy, and Erin, and great grandson Justin. He is preceded in death by his oldest son Michael (Cathy). He was the proud uncle of Nancy (Jay), Vicki, and Jim (Sherry). Born in Brush, Colorado, Jim's family later moved to San Francisco. After graduating from Lowell High School he was drafted in the Army and served in the Korean War. Jim worked as a production and inventory control manager in various industries for over 30 years. He enjoyed serving his community and was a member of the Planning Commission for the city of Mountain View. He was an avid golfer and bowler at Cloverleaf Bowl. A member of the Orinda Masonic Lodge, he was proud to be a Mason. He was a wonderful father, had many close friends, and will be dearly missed by all.
