James Fong Obituary

James Chuck Fong July 15, 1933 - November 20, 2006 A native of San Francisco, passed away after a recent illness. James was the beloved husband of Elaine; devoted father of Margery (David) Eckerly, Elizabeth (Matthew) Shipman; and loving grandfather of Katelyn Michelle Shipman. He was the loving son of the late Lee Shee and Chuck Fong. He was the dear brother to Arthur (June), the late Betty Jang Stout, Bernice, Jennie (Grange) Lum, Daisy Ng, and Connie (George) Chan. He was a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. James graduated from George Washington High School. After serving his country in the United States Navy, he attended the University of California, Berkeley and graduated in 1959. James spent 37 years in private practice as an attorney. He had a genuine zest for life and enjoyed every moment of it. It was James' wish that private services be held.

Many years have passed since I saw Jim, but I remember him well, and enjoyed our time together immensely.

I'm very sorry for his loss to his family. My sincere condolences.
