Jim was an active board member for St Vincent De Paul Society. His input was always thoughtful and specific. His love to those less fortunate was evident in his ongoing commitment to restorative justice and all matters related to those most in need of God's mercy. I was so sad to hear of his passing as I just been with him a month earlier at a board meeting. Sending peace to Jim's family and many friends. He will be missed deeply.

Dear Bonnie, Christine, Tim, and Brian and all the Fox family,
Eileen and I extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Jim.
Jim had an ability to sense what was right and wrong in this world. He had an eye for injustice and so he had the perfect job knowing that by helping others, he was sharing the gift that God had given him. We admired his absence of ego, always unflappable, professional and calm. He allowed us lessor mortals to take credit for his brilliance. I had first hand experience of this and always appreciated his loyality. Upon sharing the sad news I was asked How would you sum up Jim Fox? I said I really can't. He was an extraordinary man who was very ordinary. He was at all times very honest, obliging, happy and easy to get along with. His good friend the late sheriff Brendan Maguire was emphatic telling us that Jim was without doubt the smartest man in the room. He was a hero to all of us. A fellow Irishman! Someone said of all our possessions a friend is the most precious. Jim Fox was precious. A gentleman in every way and we take consolation knowing that the Gates of Heaven were wide open to welcome Jim. May his gracious soul Rest in Peace.
