885 El Camino Real
South San Francisco, California
Our dear Papa passed away peacefully on July 16th 2013 to join his beloved wife, Marian, his four brothers and parents William and Annie Jenkins. He was born February 8, 1918, raised in San Francisco and was a devoted San Francisco Giants and 49er fanatic. After retiring from 42 years with Metropolitan Life, he was able to enjoy many years with his family. His greatest joy was time spent with his seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his three children; Kathleen Paine (Carl), James (Patti) and Robert (Marie) and many other dear friends and family. We will all miss his quick wit, charm and kindness very much.
Friends and family are invited to Garden Chapel in South San Francisco on Sunday, July 21st between 4- 8pm with a family service at 7pm, Mass at St. Roberts Church in San Bruno on Monday, July 22nd at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, we suggest a donation to the St. Anthony Foundation, 150 Golden Gate Ave. San Francisco, CA 94102 or your favorite charity. "Papa" Jernkins was one of a kind. He was knowledgeable in sports to the point that a person should think twice before they challenged him on a sports issue. He loved his family and his family loved him. He loved Marie and appreciated her taking care of him over the years. Papa will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

The picture in the obituary was incredible - We love that we see "Papa" Jenkins in all of you ~ or maybe it is him in all of you ~
and while it is still so new and it's hard not to see the empty space and feel the loss, this is not true in the landscape of the heart. In your hearts, "Papa" will live forever and he will be as near as the wind that blows and you will hear his laughter and be reminded that in fact, love lasts forever...
We celebrate your beloved Father/Grandfather and how much he loved you...and see him reunited with those that have been waiting for him..
