I met Jim and Irene in the 60's. They were a fun couple and I loved them both. I enjoyed listening to Jim talk about whatever he felt like talking about. I left the Bay Area in the early 70's but they came and visited me in Plumas County around 1980. My condolenses to their son Dave.

I met James through my sister, Reem- his next door-neighbor- well, I should re-phrase that because James was much more than a neighbor...he was family. When I'd come for a visit from Texas, one my greatest pleasures was to sit with him and hear his insights in the way of politics and learn from his wisdom in the way of life. Beyond his profound intellect, he was one of the most caring, loving, and generous people I've ever met. May God take you into his love and care and I echo my sister's sentiments...you shall not be forgotten!

Our sympathy to Jim's family, and especially to his son, David, and to the Nasrah family. Jim and Irene were our neighbors for almost 30 years, and we'll always remember them with love and appreciation.

The Grandfather to my kids, a second father to me. God brought us together by chance & by choice we became best of friends. You were my mentor, my wisdom, my everything.
The children have already asked me if you are an angel I reply of course, he is always watching over us. I will be looking out for those feather's. Give Irene our love. May God rest your soul. Your spirit will live on & your memory never forgotten. My darling friend I love you so. Until we meet again.
